The Path to Freedom project is not just a cultural event. It is a living conversation between eras, bringing together
- millions of years old petrified trees — silent witnesses of time,
- and woodcuts of the Ukrainian underground — the art of resistance that was born in darkness to shine.
This is an event for those who seek not gloss, but truth; not formality, but echoes from the depths. The programme includes art, cinema, and sincere conversation with those who preserve meaning.
The programme includes:
🟩 The Path to Freedom exhibition
— woodcuts by the Neil Hashevich School, artefacts of nature, wood as a symbol of indestructibility.
🟩 Documentary film Lemik. A Shot in Defence of Millions
— the story of 18-year-old OUN member Mykola Lemik, who carried out an act of protest against the silencing of the Holodomor.
🟩 Discussion with historians, researchers, artists
— about memory as the foundation for strength, and wood as a carrier of meaning.
