The e-Prosthesis project has been launched in Ukraine. It is a digital platform that helps people with amputations, their families, military personnel and veterans to access verified information and practical solutions in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation.
Its main task is to simplify and speed up the process of obtaining reliable information by becoming a single centre where all the necessary data is collected. In addition, the resource provides information about benefits and opportunities available not only to veterans, but also to family members of those who have died, gone missing or been taken prisoner.
The project was made possible thanks to Andriy Matyukha, who systematically helps military units and people affected by the war, is an ambassador for the Business Incubator Groups. Ukraine” for inclusive policies and supported the idea of creating a socially-oriented platform. This laid the foundation for the implementation of the project with the support of the Andriy Matyukha Foundation.
The Telegram chatbot is already available, and in the near future, the team will launch a full-fledged application with integration into government services and partner funds.
This will increase awareness among users and coordination between service recipients, government agencies, medical institutions, and donors.
The role of BIG.U
The idea of creating a digital platform, part of which is the e-Prosthesis bot, belongs to Yevgeny Barsukov, head of the public association Business Incubator Groups. Ukraine. He developed the project architecture, which includes several stages. The BIG.U team is implementing this project. The Telegram chatbot is the first stage.
BIG.U also promotes the dissemination of the solution among state and public institutions. We are already cooperating with the Odessa Regional State Administration – the Department of Social and Family Policy, the Department of Health, and the regional department of veteran policy. We are also cooperating with veteran organisations. We are in the process of distributing information materials about the online bot through the Administrative Service Centres and local government bodies in territorial communities.

Why it matters
Sadly, war increases the number of amputees, veterans, and their families who need quality support. Ukraine’s future is impossible without inclusion, accessibility, and a humane approach.
The implementation of the e-Prosthesis project is an extremely important step in ensuring a dignified and quality life for veterans, military personnel and civilians who have experienced trauma.
We hope that the digital platform, starting with a chatbot on Telegram, will become an effective tool for overcoming the key challenges faced by people in war.
