At a time when small communities are looking for ways to achieve sustainable development, Skolivshchyna is demonstrating a practical model — the creation of a ‘Community Development Office’ that brings together business, the public, culture, and international partnerships.
Why does this format work?
The Skolivshchyna Development Office is not an external project, but an initiative born within the community itself. It is based on four principles:
involvement of local participants — entrepreneurs, activists, educators;
cooperation with external partners — donors, investors, foundations;
focus on economic sustainability — launching initiatives that have financial resources;
transparent management structure — joint decision-making and strategic planning.
Main areas of work:
1. International partnerships and development funds
The Office team builds relationships with institutions in the US, EU, and international support programmes. It works to attract resources for infrastructure, tourism, environmental, and cultural projects.
2. Skolivshchyna Small Business Association
An initiative to bring entrepreneurs together for joint promotion, protection of interests, and preparation of joint funding applications.
3. Interactive map of land plots and investment objects
A digital tool for investors that presents current land plots, real estate objects, and infrastructure hubs — with the possibility of detailed review, consultation, and support.
4. The Hredel Brothers Business Club
International promotion of Carpathian timber through participation in exhibitions, lobbying for producers’ interests, creation of an export branch, and development of global partnerships.
